We are seeking a skilled and motivated Inventory Supervisor to oversee the efficient management of our inventory processes. The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, coordinating with various teams, and implementing effective inventory control strategies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team towards achieving inventory management goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of inventory clerks, ensuring tasks are delegated appropriately and performance targets are met.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and tools.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock.
- Plan and execute regular physical inventory counts and audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential stock shortages, and excess stock situations, and propose appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement efficient inventory control processes to improve accuracy, reduce discrepancies, and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan purchases, and manage stock replenishment effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (X years) in inventory management, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities, with experience in managing and leading teams.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
